MOKO JUMBIE is a gothic punk Caribbean love story that arises in the ruins of a coconut plantation in rural Trinidad. Asha is drawn to Roger, the boy next door. Their taboo attraction grows despite family disapproval, political turmoil, a clash between Indians and Africans, and mysterious hauntings by unnaturally tall ancestral spirits.
